  • Mary* Christmas lässt grĂĽĂźen! (Version 1)
X-mas fĂĽr Runaways in the Zeitalter of Anglizism
  • Mary* Christmas lässt grĂĽĂźen! (Version 2)
X-mas fĂĽr Runaways in the Zeitalter of Anglizism

* Mary is here aber not, wie man annehmen möchte, the Frau of Joseph, sondern schlicht and ergreifend a quite gewöhnlicher Tippfehler!

Mary Christmas lässt grüßen!
(Version 1)

X-mas fĂĽr Runaways in the Zeitalter of Anglizism ...

(Text: N. N.)

When the last Kalender-Sheets
flattern through the Winterstreets
and Dezemberwind is blowing,
dann is everybody knowing
that it is not allzuweit:
she does come, the Christmaszeit.

All the Menschen, Leute, People
flippen out of ihr warm StĂĽb'l,
run to Kaufhof, Aldi – yes,
make Konsum and Business!
Kaufen this and jene Things
and the Churchturmglocke rings!

Manche holen sich a Tännchen,
when this brennt, they cry: „Attention!“,
rufen for the Feuerwehr:
„Please, come quick zum Löschen her!“
Goes the Tännchen up in Rauch,
they are standing on the Schlauch.

In the Kitchen of the House
Mother makes the Christmasschmaus.
She is working, schufts and bakes.
The Hit is now her Yoghurtkeks.
And the Opa says as Tester:
„We are killed bis zu Silvester!“
Then he fills the last Glas Wine,
yes, this is the Weihnachtstime.

Day by Day ist so vergang',
and the holy Night does come.
You can think, you can remember,
it's wie immer in Dezember.

Then the Childrenlein are coming
Candlewachs is abwärts running.
Bing of Crosby Christmas sings
while the Towerglocke rings
and the Angles look so fine –
well, this is the Weihnachtstime.

Babyeyes are big and rund,
the Family feels kerngesund.
When unterm Baum they're hocking,
then nothing can them ever shocking.
They are happy, are so fine –
this happens in the Weihnachtstime.

The Animals all in the House,
the Hund, the Katz, the Bird, the Mouse
are turning round the Weihnachtstree,
enjoy the Day as ever nie:
well, they find Kitekat and Chappi
in the Geschenkkarton von Pappi.

The Family begins to sing
and wieder does a Glöckchen ring.

Zum Song vom grĂĽnen Tannenbaum
die Tränen rennen down and down,
bis out Mother plötzlich flennt:
„The Christmasgans im Ofen brennt!“
Her Nose indeed is very fine.
End of the schöne Weihnachtstime.

Mary Christmas lässt grüßen!
(Version 2)

X-mas fĂĽr Runaways in the Zeitalter of Anglizism ...

(Text: N. N.)

When the Snow falls wunderbar
and the Children happy are,
when there's Glatteis on the Street
and we really GlĂĽhwein need,
then you will know, es ist soweit:
She is now here, the Weihnachtszeit!

Now every Parkhaus ist besetzt,
weil alle People fahren jetzt
to Kaufhof und to Mediamarkt
und kriegen nearly Herzinfarkt.
While shopping hirnverbrannte Things,
the Christmasglocke wieder rings.

And Mother in the Kitchen bakes
viel Schoko-, Nuss- and Mandelkeks,
while Daddy in the Nebenraum
is schmĂĽcking einen Weihnachtsbaum:
And while he's hanging auf the Balls,
he krachend from the Leiter falls ...

Doch finally the Kinderlein
they kommen to the Zimmer rein.
It sings the ganze Family
gar schauerlich „Oh, Christmastree!“
Danach ein jeder in the House
is packing the Geschenke aus.

Mama finds hers under the Tanne:
a really brandnew Teflonpfanne.
Papa gets Schlips and also Socken,
and everybody does frohlocken.
The President speaks in TV,
and all around is Harmony.

Bis Mother in the Kitchen runs:
Im Ofen burns the Weihnachtsgans.
And so comes auch die Feuerwehr
with viel tatĂĽ-tata daher,
and they bring with a long, long Schlauch
und eine long, long Leiter auch.
Und all are brülling „Wasser, marsch!“
Well, now is Christmas doch im – Eimer ...
